Movie Title Dancer Description
La Dance Du Ventre    Still talking of old movies, a curiosity. Alice Guy (France 1873-1968), generally considered to be the world's first female director, in 1900 directed La Danse du Ventre, silent B&W movie of course. - Tanja
Lair of the White Worm, The
Land of the Pharaohs    (1955) Jack Hawkins, Joan Collins

Talky, fruity spectacle about building of the Great Pyramid, filmed on an epic scale. Hawks claimed neither he nor his writers (including William Faulkner and Harry Kurnitz) "knew how a pharaoh talked''... and it shows. Still worth catching for great revenge ending and now-campy villainy by Collins.

Last of the Secret Agents, The Aida Fries (1966)
Last Resort Tanya George (1994)
Latcho Drom    This magical, enticing film offers a musical and choreographic vision of the Gypsies' trek from their original home in India, through the Middle East, to Eastern and Central Europe. Filmmaker Tony Gatlif -- who himself has Gypsy blood -- captures his people's ever-changing culture. In each new country where the Gypsies settled, their songs, dances and costume absorbed elements of local traditions; thus, there are Indian drums, Oriental belly-dancing, Hungarian violins and Spanish guitars. Yet throughout the centuries, certain things remained, including the rich, rough sound of Gypsy singing and a clear passion for complex rhythms. Though "Latcho Drom" ("have a safe journey" in Romany) has no narration, song lyrics speak poignantly of the Gypsies' tragic history of oppression and violence -- including their victimization by the Nazis during World War II.
Les 1001 Nuits Catherine Zeta Jones A French-Italian movie starring gorgeous Catherine Zeta Jones. She plays modern Scheherazade and there is one scene where there are two dancers on the market place and she is going to show some modern dancing instead...I preferred the original dancers but Catherine has some nice costumes and is so beautiful.
Let's Talk About Sex Virginia Menendez (1998) Very nice short performance by an excellent dancer. - Aziza Sa'id
Life With Mikey Adrienne Canterna starring Michael J. Fox as a kids talent agent. Has 5 second or shorter clip of a little girl in a blue harem top and pants doing a really nice camel... and that's it...

Canterna is credited but I'm not certain that's I've correctly identified the part...

Little Egypt Rhonda Fleming Rhonda Fleming
Lost in a Harem    Abbott & Costello, Marilyn Maxwell
Lunchwagon
Lydia Bailey Carmen De Lavallade (1952)
