Note: You must have MIME and HTML turned off otherwise your administrative messages to majordomo@world.std.com will hopelessly confuse majordomo and your posts to the med-dance list will be rejected. The list only accepts ASCII posts or posts containing quotable-printable content.
Additionally, if you're an AOL user and you upgrade to 6.0 you will not be able to post to the list because that version only sends email in HTML. There's no switch to turn html off. The list software will not accept html either as an attachment or as the body of a message. Supposedly AOL is working on a fix so you'll be able to turn html off in
a future version of AOL 6.x

Some thoughts from our moderator:
"Sometime around the beginning of the weekend the list membership (regular + digest, not events) exceeded 900 souls. That's (AFAIF) the largest membership for any dance email mailing list on the planet Earth. I love the way that sounds even if it is improbable, so I'll keep saying it 'til someone proves me wrong. :-)"
"Some time ago, a videographer mentioned to me that there were probably 25,000 ME dancers of various types in the US. He didn't have figures for anywhere else, and I don't know how accurate that figure is. So the total list membership (including non-US folk) would be 1/27.78 of the total number of dancers in the US (or, as a percentage: 3.6% of same)."

If you're a MED-Dance member and are interested in having your picture posted on this page.... here's what you need to do:
Send or e-mail me the following:
- Your Dance Name
- Your Real Name (if you want it listed)
- Your Home City, State, and Country
- Your E-mail Address
- Your Web Site Address (if you have one)
- Your picture, a nice clear head shot is best, or at least one showing your face that I can crop.
- You can e-mail me a .JPG (200 dpi, medium resolution works well) or a .GIF file to me. Your face area should be at least 1"x1" for best results.
- You can mail a picture to me with a self-addressed stamped envelope if you want it returned.
