Ok, one more time, the big disclaimer:
You Can't Learn To Dance On-Line.
You Need a Real Live Teacher.
A note on style (3/26/2001): The first sections of this lesson will deal primarily with a Western style of movement. I will be adding additional advanced techniques (soon...) to help you change the quality of movement and technique to a more Mid-Eastern style.
A note on form: The little dancer illustration is there to give you some help visualizing the descriptions. She's a folkloric style dancer, and her arm lines reflect that. If you are using a more formal style, you will want to use higher, more extended arm lines.
